DARTS ANNOY CRANK LIVING ACROSS THE ROAD
BEAT Magazine headed down to see DARTS support THE STIFFYS on the 5th of September at the Prince Public Bar and discovered the neighbours are a pretty uptight. Probably shouldn’t be living right next door to a live music venue? “Up first was Darts – a five-piece, three girls, two boys combination from Melbourne. Tonight, they put their allotted digits to good use, interlaying guitars and keyboards, while three members separately had a crack at lead vocals. This multi-voiced tact let Darts fearlessly jump between frenzied-head 2000s post-punk (a la Die! Die! Die! or Modest Mouse) and feel-it-in-your-hips beating insistence, served up with a side of munchable indie-pop. The sonic downpour was delivered so powerfully that the crank living across the road issued several sound complaints (at 10pm on a Friday? Read the news pal – venues rule this town!)” - BEAT MAGAZINE

DARTS - 'LO-FI LIVING ROOM BLUES'
7 years on, DARTS are going strong! To celebrate their anniversary they have put together four of their favourite unreleased demos. Mostly recorded in their parents’ garage, with a crash cymbal held together with duct tape and a mic haphazardly hanging from the ceiling.
Since 2007 the band have released their debut album mastered by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Sonic Youth), performed on the Groovin The Moo main stage in ‘09 & ‘12 and are due to release their second record in 2015.
